We are looking for an energetic and passionate Teaching Artist (General Musicianship & Choir) for after-school instruction in the 2017-2018 academic year who is passionate about social change!

A summary of intern/Volunteer Opportunities:

  1. Teaching Artists – Paid part-time positions in either General Musicianship, Choir, Percussion, and/or Strings (Orchestra). TA's should be passionate/energetic about community arts education & social change, but also bring with them experience and/or training in performing and teaching music.

  2. Teaching Interns– Regular mentors/ instructors who attend on a weekly basis any or all of M, T, W, Th, F 4:00-6:00. These internships are designed to provide musical/academic instruction and exercises classroom/behavior management. These volunteers may assist in teaching private or small group lessons as needed, as well as teach general musicianship and/or academic support, but will never be fully responsible for a classroom.

  3. Drop-in Instructors/ Volunteers– A pool of dedicated volunteers who work with students on a drop-in basis, and assist with concerts, events, and field trips. Perfect for those looking to get involved but unable to commit to a weekly schedule!

  4. Observation Interns– Attend on a drop-in basis and observe teaching and lessons. Provide additional support and supervision as needed. Please be in touch in advance!
